Yellow Buttons Daisy

The Canterbury Bells Bellflower, 'Campanula medium', has tall flower spikes with elegant, bell shaped flowers that will remind you of a storybook English cottage garden. This elegant tall plant is an excellent backdrop for your shorter annual and perennials. Bellflowers have 1 to 2 inch long bell shaped flowers in the colors of purple, violet, blue, lavender, pink, and white. They like rich, well drained soils that are kept well watered. Plant in late spring or early summer for bloom the second year. The Bell flower makes excellent cut flowers.

The Daisy Yellow Buttons, 'Chrysanthemum multicaule', has delightful masses of buttery, golden-yellow flowers atop mats of fleshy, succulent green foliage. You will be delighted with this low growing annual groundcover that has masses of pretty little 1/2 to 3/4 inch daisy-like, cup-shaped flowers. Plant these easy to grow daisies in the spring, 2 weeks before the last average frost date. Besides an annual groundcover, the Yellow Buttons can be used as a cut flower and it is excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens.

The Cosmos Sea Shells Blend, 'Cosmos bipinnatus', is a very unique Cosmos with rolled petals looking a bit like a sea shell with a yellow button eye. Solid colored flowers (and a few bicolors) of white, pink, rose, and crimson, adorn this Cosmos. The flowers are rolled quilled petals, 3 to 4 inches wide with yellow centers. They are excellent colorful bedding plants for low maintenance, dry areas, and are great for cut flowers. They attract hummingbirds and butterflies.

And remember, neglect is the kind of care Cosmos prefer. The Cosmos begin blooming 10 weeks after seeding and bloom from summer to first fall frost. They are excellent colorful bedding plants for low maintenance, dry areas and are great for cut flowers. They attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
