Marshall Delight Bee Balm

The Lychnis Gardener's World, 'Lychniscoronaria', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is an upright perennial with woolly silver foliage. The magenta-red double blooms resemble small carnations. ‘Gardener’s World’ is a definite improvement from other Lychnis. The flower is larger, sterile and more refined. ‘Gardner’s World’ has a plant height of 24-36” and 10” spread. ‘Gardener’s World’ should be planted in full sun to light shade, but does require moisture and free-draining soil. Lychnis is deer resistant and a great perennial for mass plantings or at the back of a border.

The large fluffy pink flowers double and white markings run into the petals. ‘Jenny’ is a definite improvement from other Lychnis. The flower is larger, sterile and more refined. ‘Jenny’ has a plant height of 30” and 18” spread. ‘Jenny’ should be planted in full sun to light shade, but does require moisture and free-draining soil. Lychnis is deer resistant and a great perennial for mass plantings or at the back of a border.

The Monarda 'Gardenview Scarlet', Monarda didyma, also known as Bee Balm, Bergamont, Horsemint, Oswego Tea, is a clump-forming perennial that has tubular, two-lipped, red rose flowers with dark green aromatic foliage. 'Gardenview Scarlet' stands at 3' high and has a plant spread of 24-30" and blooms from July to August. Attracting hummingbirds, butterflies and bees, particularly when massed, Monarda provides color and contrast for the perennial border, wild garden, meadow, and herb garden or along ponds or streams.

The Perovskia ‘Little Spire Sage’, Perovskia atriplicifolia, is an exciting new variety to the Sage family. Growing only 3’ high with a plant spread of 12-18”, it is one that should not be missed. The lavender-purple flowers make a great contrast with its silvery, fragrant foliage. Deadhead for repeat bloom time. It does need a well-drained area. ‘Little Spire’ looks great anywhere in the garden. It is resistant to deer, attracts butterflies, an excellent choice for hot, dry gardens, and has attractive winter foliage.
