The Verbascum Copper Rose, 'Verbascum hybridum', also known as Mullein, has masses of silky blooms that range in color from apricot to rose to copper, making it different from the rest. The foliage is soft and silver, which adds contrast to the flower color. ‘Copper Rose’ has a plant height of 3-4’ and a plant spread of 1-2’ and blooms from late spring into summer. Verbascum will tolerate a wide range of soil conditions but must have good drainage or it could be fatal. ‘Copper Rose’ can be planted in rocky slopes to add color, as a border plant or in cottage gardens.
